Psalms 21:2

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

Speaking of himself in the third person, King David gave thanks to God for giving him his heart’s desire. His heart’s desire could have been victory over an enemy, or it may have been the desire that God would establish his dynasty. He acknowledged that it was the Lord’s strength, not his own, that had brought him great honor and glory.

Often Christians have their most difficult moments when they choose to trust God in rough times and then He seems not to answer. David, and Jesus experienced this and we can learn from their reactions.  To show that GOD is the Giver of our heart’s desire and He’s not withholding anything good from us, Psalms 84:11 states “For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows grace, favor and glory.

Memory Verse: Proverbs 16:9
