Psalm 38:4

For my iniquities are gone over my head; As a heavy burden they weigh too much for me.

These verses articulate the psalmist’s lament over his sufferings. He had evidently lost good health and was in pain. His agony extended to his spirit as well as to his body. His sickness was punishment for his sin. Sure am I that when a man is laboring under the burden of sin, he will be full of complaint. The Bible records hundreds of the complaints of God’s people under the

burden of sin.

So what baggage are you carrying today? You don’t have to carry it any longer. Don’t take your bags to check out or the lost and found. Don’t lug them around only to find later that you’ve been dragging so much extra stuff. Only take what you really need. Take your sin-baggage to Jesus. You can trade in your sin-burden for freedom.

Memory Verse: Luke 5:8

“I meant what I said and I said what I meant.”
