STRENGTH COMES FROM GOD

Isaiah 40:28-31

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,   the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint,   and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;   they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;   they shall walk and not faint.

LESSON

God is not too great to care. He is too great not to care. The people needed to open their eyes and ears to what they already knew about their God. He is eternal, not bound to the present, as we are. He is Yahweh, the covenant-keeping God. He is the Creator of all the earth, not restricted to only one locale at a time. He does not grow tired, because He is omnipotent. He is inscrutable, because He is omniscient. This is why we cannot always understand why He allows things to happen as they do. He is unlimited by time, space, power, and understanding.

Have you determined what gear you are in today? Some of you want to soar. He has grace for that! Some of you are caught up in the daily sprint of life. He has grace for that! Most of us are just trying to be faithful in our daily walk. There is grace for that too. If He has spoken to you about your own walk with Him, and you need to seek His face for grace for your race, well, there’s grace for that too!
