Hebrews 1:3

He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Christ is the heir of all things precisely because God has only one Son and one Heir. Christians, it is true, are also called sons and heirs of God, but they are so not in their own right but solely by virtue of their incorporation into the only-begotten Son with whom alone God is well pleased.

Second, the Son “made the world”. The Son was God’s agent in creation. He created both matter and history; both ideas are in view here. However, the emphasis is on the various dispensations through which the world has passed, is passing, and will pass. Jesus Christ is not a created being, as Jehovah’s Witnesses and some others claim. He is the Creator of all.
