Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

“Let dwell ,” The “word of Christ,” used only here in the New Testament, is Christ’s teachings, not only during His earthly ministry but also in all of Scripture. His Word should permeate our whole being so that we make all decisions and plans in its light. The rabbis later pointed out, he who dwells in a house is the master of the house, not just a passing guest. “Thus we are to submit to the demands of the Christian message and let it become so deeply implanted within us as to control all our thinking. Many saved people cannot honestly say that God’s Word dwells in their hearts richly because they do not take time to read, study, and memorize it.
